Role and Experience
During my Time at the TCL Multimedia Innovation Center, I collaborated with an international design team specializing in consumer technology. Working alongside experts in product design, sound engineering, and marketing enabled me to grasp the nuances of product development and the end-to-end design process.
TV as Furniture
Historically, televisions were integral to home furniture. Drawing from this heritage, we reimagined TVs as sculptural elements that blend seamlessly into modern living environments. This product line was tailored specifically for international exhibitions, showcasing TVs as more than just screens but as part of home decor.
Materials and integration
We selected materials like wood, textiles, and concrete, derived from natural and interior environments, to harmonize with modern home aesthetics. These choices reduced the intrusive nature of technology, allowing products to merge into their surroundings as functional sculptures.
Lifestyle and Technology
The products were designed to reflect daily routines and integrate into the fabric of home environments. Humanizing technology has become a central philosophy, ensuring that our designs resonate with users on a personal level.
